What is your set-up time?
We allow one and a half hours to load in, set up, sound check, change and be ready to play.
Does the band have food and drink requirements?
We ask you to provide five hot meals for the band before the performance. Most venues can supply a simple hot meal for a reasonable price. However, if this proves impossible then we will accept a food allowance. We also ask for you to provide the band soft drinks during the evening (e.g. still and sparkling water, tea, coffee).
What do you wear?
The men wear dark suits with a black shirt and the ladies wear smart dresses (see photos)
Can I specify which songs you play?
It’s helpful to know your musical tastes, for example if there are one or two songs you definitely don’t want to hear, but it is best to leave the playing order to us. If we don’t already have your choice of first dance or special song in our repertoire then we can arrange it for a small fee, or play it on CD / iPod provided by you. We have a separate list of first dances to choose from, which we can email to you upon request.
Do you have special lighting?
Yes, we have coloured moving lights to illuminate the band and dance floor.
Can I provide a ‘mix tape’ to play during your breaks?
Yes, you can provide your own compilation CDs / iPod with playlists to play through our PA system.
What power do you require?>
One 13-amp socket on a reliable circuit.
What space do you need?
If we are to play on a raised platform we need 20 by 12 feet. If playing directly on the floor we need 12 by 10 feet.
Do you need a changing room?
Yes, after set-up we need a room, preferably close, to change and leave our clothes.
Are you insured and PAT tested?
Yes. We have Public Liability insurance through the Musicians’ Union up to £10 million. Our equipment is regularly PAT tested and we can supply the paperwork if required.
